Subjects and Courses

From September 2024 all students will receive 580 taught hours in the Sixth Form.

The minimum number of A-levels or equivalent permitted is 3. Students who have not achieved grade 4 either English or maths will take GCSE resit classes. All pupils will engage with the tutor programme. Year 12 will do work experience and an induction programme. Year 13 will do UCAS or apprenticeship preparation programme.

Those not completing resit GCSE will be required to study core maths, extended project qualification or financial education qualification.

Before joining Sixth Form students get the opportunity to become interns and follow a training programme so that they can give something back to their community.

All Sixth Form students who fall behind in a subject will receive catch up support via HUBs after school.

We currently offer a limited range of A-Level, BTEC and other vocational courses, which reflect the significant strengths in these areas within the Academy.
