KS1/KS2 Teacher

MPS
Full Time
Required from September 2024

Our aim is to provide a transformative education for the children of our community, by treating every child as the blessing that they are.
You will be joining our Open Pathways team at Open Academy. This is our Enhanced Specialist Provision, aimed at supporting the transition of some of our most vulnerable students, ensuring they are given the academic, social and emotional support they need to access mainstream education with improved skills and confidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, talented and creative Primary Teacher to work with Open Pathways students in Years 7 and Year 8 from September. With a wonderful, fully comprehensive group of students and the most inspirational building you can imagine, Open is a great place to teach.
This post could be suitable for an ECT or a more experienced colleague.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you are:
• An excellent classroom practitioner – or someone who has the potential to become excellent
• Able to teach students working below secondary school stage, a broad and ambitious curriculum – we are particularly keen to hear from Maths, Science or Design specialists but all specialisms may apply
• Optimistic and enthusiastic
• Determined to make a real difference to children’s life chances

Open Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to relevant checks in line with Safer Recruitment and Safeguarding procedures.

Completed application forms should be returned to patotheprincipal@open-academy.org.uk
Closing date for applications: Tuesday 2 July 2024 at 9.00am
